the rusgaard

ready your axes, join the raid!
The Rusgaard people, often called ‘The Rus,’ live in the northern part of Miradawn in a sprawling wilderness that remains the largest de facto nation on the continent. Although, the true numbers of the Rusgaard remain a mystery as their nomadic, secretive and oftentimes confrontational nature isolates these brave warriors.
Unlike the organised militaries of the south, the Rusgaard are typically guerilla fighters, using shock tactics to overwhelm and brutalise their enemies. Rus society is very fluid , with a few northern clans straying from traditional values. Their core belief is in their nine natural Gods and a simple mantra of ‘if you breathe, you live. If you live, you fight. If you fight then to die in battle is your life fulfilled.’
Do you think you would join the Rusgaard? Do your blades thirst for the blood of your enemies as you call out blessings from the Gods? Or are you a Civilian of this harsh land, trying to make your own way and maintain the honour of your clan? Read through some of our lore below to decide if you will join the raid!
